Not sure what to say?

Our heartfelt condolences to Jan's family. We had the honor to share some meals and visits with her on her trips to Chicago. My husband John Tatgenhorst (arranger OSU MB) thinks of her fondly. Her love of Ohio State was obvious and contagious.

What a wonderful woman Janet is remembered for. She would contact me about genealogy and visa versa. So full of knowledge and so family oriented. I send my condolences. She was a blessing.

Janet will be missed so much. She brought joy and music into our lives. I was one of the many students that loved her. We always watched spellbound as she directed, wondering when she might fling her baton in our direction. We miss her peals of laughter and funny stories.

Thank you, Dr Ebert, for sharing your bright personality, keen intellect, sharp wit, and, most of all, for all the wonderful music.

Janet will be missed urbana loves you

She was my music teacher her first year of teaching at Willshire High School (1957). She continued to direct the "choir" at our alumni banquets for many years. She was a fantastic and talented lady and will be truly missed. I especially enjoyed listening to her play the flute.

Jan--what will we do without you? Your smile and loving enthusiasm for all things beautiful will be missed. Rest in peace. You have certainly earned it.

I loved her....she lit up a room with that smile.
