We always had the happiest of times when our families got together either in Pennsylvania or Virginia. The 5 cousins had the best of fun making up radio scripts and then performing them for us. Aunt Janet was dear to me my whole life. I will always cherish my memories of family trips to Pittsburgh. She was my late mother´s sister but also her true friend. She adored my other Aunt Nancy. The Thayer girls are gone now but I can imagine all three of them laughing together as they were here with granddaddy Herbie. Her passing is a very sad loss. Picture provided by my dad. My heartfelt condolences to Uncle Ed, Nancy Sue, Julia and her whole family. Love Mary Susan

Dear Ed, I was so saddened to hear of Janet's passing. Rob let us know through an email today or I would have missed it. She was your right hand and strength, and I wanted you to know that I will have a Mass said for her at the University next week I hope your daughters will be there to support you through this. I know how much you loved them all. Janet was a sweet, loving wife and mother, and I shall always remember her with fondness.
