JANET LOUISE EMERY, 95, of North Royalton, Ohio, beloved wife of Emil (dec.) and mother to Sandra, Susan, Lois, Joan, Brian, Robert, Lisa, and Dianne, passed away surrounded by love on March 10th, 2023.


Janet Emery (née French) was born on May 7th, 1927 to Mary Sherman and Burton French in Bolton Landing, New York. After graduating from high school, Janet traveled to New York City where she met Emil and fell in love.


Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Burton, her husband, Emil, her siblings, Rachel, Alice “June”, and Gordon, and her son-in-law, Will.


Janet is survived by her eight children, Sandra Shephard (Will, dec.), Susan Schuder, Lois Emery, Joan McCullough (Bob), Brian Emery, Robert Emery (Christine), Lisa Emery, and Dianne Soucie (Daniel). Janet was the beloved grandmother of her 21 grandchildren, Jason Lambacher (Christina Serkowski), Rachel Marone (John), Rob Schuder, Scott Schuder, John Battenfield (Elizabeth), Nicole Lengyel (David Walker), Kelly Tafoya (David), Rob “Erin” McCullough (Lyka), Mike McCullough, Katie McCullough, Hillary McCullough, Haley McCullough, Katie Zimmerman (Joshua), Brian Emery (dec.), Kerry Leikin (Ben), Sharon Emery, Alyssa McNickle (Kyle), David Emery, Ryan Emery, Danny Soucie, and Samantha Soucie, and beloved great-grandmother of her 24 great-grandchildren.


Throughout her life, Janet loved to spend time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Among other things, Janet will be remembered for her quick wit and her huge heart.


Funeral Mass Wednesday, March 15, St. Albert the Great Church (6667 Wallings Rd. N. Royalton) at 11:30 AM (meet at church). Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD AT STEARNS TUESDAY 4-7 PM.
