Not sure what to say?

Loss is a difficult emotion to overcome. Even after years, it still sits there in your heart and head. I feel for you Leslie. But it is wonderful that you had this fabulous relationship with your mom. I'm sure you filled her life and heart by being such a wonderful daughter. God Bless you.

February 3, 2011... the day the wind was knocked out of my sails. The day I lost my mom forever. Not only did God take my mom that day... he took a huge part of my heart. He took my best friend, my shopping buddy, my margarita and chips buddy, my nurse, my confidant, my number-one fan, my amazing babysitter, my critic, my teacher, my mentor, my inspiration, my energy when I felt weak, my go-to when I needed a go-to, my kids Grandma, my dad's wife, my friend... he took my friend. I still...

Mom and me on the East Coast, after spending time in Philadelphia walking through cemeteries to visit distant relatives. It was an amazing trip.

Mom, you are so missed. I cannot even begin to explain or describe the void. To think of going through this journey the rest of the way without you is unbearable. The good news is, you will always live through me. I cannot believe how many times I catch myself saying something I know you would say... the hard part is that every time I drive by one of our shopping spots, every time I hear a song on the radio that reminds me of you, every time I have a day I cannot wait to tell you about......

Janet, Jim, Leslie and Tommy were all a part of our early lives. The kids were so young and we met them through baseball and softball at Parkview School in Lancaster, Calif. Dennis & Jim coached our sons, and we all became a family. Great memories and great times with such a beautiful family. Jan will forever be in our hearts. She was such a wonderful, kind and strong woman. All of us have such great memories to hold onto. Her grandchildren will always treasure the grandma that she was.

Leslie I am so moved by your touching and most honorable memorial to your precious mother Janet. I feel privileged to have been given the opportunity to learn more about your mom and her life...thank you for keeping this website up for a little longer! I can understand why it is difficult to end it's running. I have enjoyed the pictures and learning about her favorite things...and may I say that she sounds like MY KINDA WOMAN...chips and salsa and a great margarita! Perfection! How about...

Jan and I shared so many good times while working together at LCH. She was such a wonderful nurse, we shared the good times and the bad together. Since retirement I have had the privilege of being in contact through e-mails. We shared our faith and our lives. That was very special to me. She loved her family so much one of her last e-mails to me was a family photo taken in Hawaii. I had saved many of the e-mails Jan sent because they are so special and now I have them printed and in a...

I loved her

Leslie, Jim, Tom, and Joanie....
you are all continually in my thoughts and prayers. It was wonderful to see you all up in Washington. I wouldn't have missed it for the world. God was so kind and loving when He blessed me with the wonderful Faris Family. You have all brought so much joy to my life. Most folks only wish they had all of the love and fun we've shared.
Janet was the perfect example of a virtuous and honorable woman; like the one in Proverbs 31. Only Janet was a...
