Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Directors - Tyler Obituary

Services for Janet Sabra Featherston, 85, of Bullard Texas, will be held on Thursday, October 14th, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Blumn officiating.


Burial will follow at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery in Tyler under the direction of Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home.


Janet passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Doctors Regional Memorial Hospital in Corpus Christi Texas.


She was born June 19, 1936 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Gail Harty Carns and Mildred Madeline Campbell.


Janet was married to Jack C. Featherston for 54 Years. She was in banking for 30 years. She loved to read, spend time with her great-grandchildren, go out to eat and go to church and her family. Family time was everything to her.


Janet was preceded in death by her mother and father Mildred M. Campbell and Gail H. Carns; husband, Jack C Featherston; daughter, Cathy S.Dickens and her brothers, Larry J Carns and Richard Carns.


She is survived by her brother, Ron Carns and wife Sharon Carns; daughter, Jacqueline A. Featherston; granddaughters, Lindsay S. Giddings and Jessica S. Featherston; great-grandchildren, Tristan S. Holman, Latrell D. Clayton, Keyante D. Giddings, Nevaeha Z. Hall, Jayden K. Woods and Kendrik J. Hall, Steve and Vickie Carns, Rhonda and Bruce Boyd, Lori Carns and numerous nieces and nephews.


Pallbearers will be Tristan Holman, Latrell Clayton, Junior Kirby, Steve Carns, Steve Mc Farland and Robert Chote.


Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Sisco, Keyante Giddings, John Featherstone, Joel Featherston, and Ray Featherston.


Visitation is scheduled from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday October 13th, 2021 at Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home.
