Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to see that Janet has passed. I somehow had lost touch with her over the past several years. After moving to Tolland in 1988 we became friends with Janet's mother, Charlotte, she became like an extra grandma to our kids. Thus we got to Janet. For a time Janet would come to see her mother every Saturday and I would go up and visit with them. Those were some good times. Lots of gardenig talk. I would bring fresh vegetables from my garden to them. Janet's favorite was always...

My cousin Janet and I lived a mile apart in this one schoolhouse town of Tolland with a population of 109 people at the time. We used to attend the Clark family picnic at the old family homestead 1/2 mile from her home along a winding dirt road in the 1940's and 50's. The annual picnic drew quite a crowd back then with her 11 uncles one aunt and 30 first cousins. Those were the good old days. Over the past few years I enjoyed our phone conversations about the Red Sox, politics and our...

I met Janet in 1950 . . . Both of us were only children, and we became older and younger sisters growing up in Tolland MA. She was extremely helpful to me, and because she was 9 years older, she taught me a lot . . . as we grew up, she took me to movies, the beach and even took be to one of her classes at college in Maine. She introduced me to golf. I was in her wedding to Paul, and we enjoyed a great deal together. I remember the two of us, on a parade float to celebrate Tolland's...

Professor Fox was perhaps my best teacher at Bay Path Junior College. May she rest in peace. God bless you.

My friendship with Jan and Paul goes back to the 60´s. We shared endless laughs, dinners, parties, and memorable moments. Although I had not seen them for years, Jan always sent her own photograph Christmas cards. Jan, Fern Tyler-Steiger and I shared a special bond. Jan was one of my favorite friends and I´m saddened to know of her passing. Beverly Johnson-Taylor

Having grown up at springfield country club I remember Jan and Paul . Always a smile having dinner at the tavern . I loved watching the Red Sox with her over dinner at the tavern . She did things her way . A lady with integrity and strength . She will be missed .

I received many gifts in my lengthy teaching career at Bay Path College. Chief among them were my students and colleagues. Janet become a life-long friend, and I aspired to come close to matching her teaching skills, her integrity, her intellect, her candor, her loyalty, and her sense of humor. We shared our thoughts in many conversations and notes. The last note I received from Janet was in response to one I had sent to her to express my sympathy when her adopted, flea-ridden, beloved stray...

Janet was a dedicated and popular teacher and a delightful colleague at Bay Path College, where, as chair of the Humanities Division, I had the pleasure of knowing her. Her students and fellow faculty will remember her fondly.

Bay Path College offered me many special gifts over the years I taught there. Among them were the students and my colleagues. Janet Fox was one of the very best. As her peer in the English department, I strove to match her intellect, her expertise, her sense of humor, her honesty, and her loyalty. We shared many conversations and pieces of correspondence. The last note she sent was in response to mine expressing condolences on the loss of her beloved, flea-ridden, adopted cat, Duval. She was...
