Not sure what to say?

Mom, you were my best friend and my hero. I am heartbroken that we lost you so soon. You were the best person I have every known. I hope that I can be a least half of the mother to your grandchildren that you were to me and my brother. I miss you all day everyday. I love you more than words can ever express.

As a parent, I have always been so grateful to Gerard for her dedication to her students and her willingness to spend countless hours teaching, coaching, and befriending those students who came her way. She was our daughter's debate coach at Bryan Adams and after that, a lifelong friend. I always knew that my daughter could go to Gerard for any kind of help if I was not available, and that was a great comfort to me and I am sure to many others.
To her children....thank you for sharing...

I never new a day would come that I would have to say goodbye. Gerard was the rock and soul of everyone she touched. She has tought me so very much over the past 30 plus years. I love you Coach!

I cannot put into words how amazing of a woman Janet Gerard was. The years I spent with her, she was not just a teacher, but a friend that will always hold a special place in my heart. Janet was a rock that had so much wisdom for those she chose to share it with. I feel that I am truly blessed to have had such a wonderful person come into my life when she did.

Dale Hansen quoted Henry Brooks Adams with "A teacher effects eternity". Janet Gerard was a teacher who lit the lives and inspired the hearts of thousands of students. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched and hearts she inspired.
