Not sure what to say?

Max and family, I´m so sorry to hear of the passing of your dear Jan. I always remember her coming to Salvation Army events with the warmest smile. My deepest sympathy to the Gibbs family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Max and Family, My thoughts are with you today. I regret I did not get to the church this morning. Jan was a bright light to me. I am grateful that we enjoyed some time together. She had such a enthusiasm for life and for Notre dame. God Bless all of you at this time. Lori Hoving

It was a pleasure and honor to have met Jan many years ago through various benefit events for Kids' Food Basket and Steepletown. Our sincerest condolences to Max and your entire family. Jan was a light wherever she went and may the memories you have comfort you in the weeks and months ahead. Much love and warmest of hugs, Norbert & Doreen Dill

It was a privilege and a joy to call Jan a dear friend. She lit up a room with her humanity and humor. Before we knew it, we were volunteering at Kids Food Basket, decorating St. Andrews for Christmas, driving for American Cancer Society, and attending fundraisers for Steeple Town. We also had some memorable times at The Fifth Street Hall, imbibing at O'Tooles, our celebrating St. Patrick's Day in Chicago. She will leave a huge void in our lives as well as in the lives of so many others she...

I found out today that Jan passed away. I was deeply saddened by the news. Max and family, you have my deepest sympathies. Years past, Jan and I had many a laugh, and a lot of good times spent together.

Oh how I remember Janet Deal. I was fortunate to have both Janet and Max in my class back in 1964 and 65. I remember her very well. Short black hair was what stood out and it was her choice to sit in the front row of my class I could tell there was mischief up her sleeve. She just reverberated that side of her. I can´t remember Janet and Max`s faces very well. You were rewarded with having as many years as my wife and I have had together, which ended five years ago today. Max to you, I...

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Jan had a knack for seeing the good in others and tolerating them when they didn't live up to their goodness. She definitely filled a room with joy... trusting her joy is even that much more amazing right now. We will miss her...and love to Max and the family!

Jan was a warm, funny and generous person. May her memory be a blessing.
