Not sure what to say?

Jan was a wonderful person. Carol Johnson

Jan was my friend. Jan was my sister in law. I cannot imagine life without her. She gave her all to her family and her community. I loved her. Anne Granath

Growing up, I always enjoyed speaking with “Aunt Jan.” She never spoke down to kids. She was well-read and she listened. She didn’t judge but she had opinions. She would not shy away from pushing back with a question.

I was lucky to spend time with Aunt Jan recently. She always had fresh takes on plays she had seen and books she had just read. She always had a stack of books she was looking forward to reading. She could always tell me what was going on with Chicago politics...

Jan was an absolute delight. I served with her on the Board of the Condo Assoc. at 1440 Sheridan and she was always resourceful, thoughtful and imaginative as to possibilities with issues which concerned the governing of the 45 Unit building. She was instrumental in helping to create a socially-friently environment for current and new residents. We will miss her endlessly upbeat spirit! Dick & Rosie Augspurger

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

Jan was a very good friend of my parents Joan and Curt Johnson. I have known her since I was born. She was one of the kindest, and caring people I have known. .Carol Johnson

Aunt Jan,
You will be missed so very much!! Your independence and joy for the people around you was an inspiration to me. The love you had for our family was always felt and I wished we could have been together more. I love you, Aunt Jan. I hope you are enjoying a cup of coffee with Gay!
