Janet Gratzer Obituary

Gratzer, Janet (Jan) Lois Grau

Passed peacefully in her sleep at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis on the morning of July 15, 2025, after a brief illness.

Jan married the love of her life Harold Gratzer on August 17, 1957, in Gibsonia, PA. They had two children: Susan Phbus (Charlie), and Jeff Gratzer (Jacque), along with a beloved granddaughter Paige Gratzer.

They moved from Pennsylvania to St. Louis in 1969, and lived at the same home at the time of her passing.

Jan was an avid reader and enjoyed baking for her family, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals on TV. She was a loyal friend, and was still in contact with a number of her girlfriends with whom she attended high school.

There will be a private service for the immediate family at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 13014 Olive Blvd, Creve Coeur, MO 63141.
