Janet Leota Heinzle, 82 of North Platte, Nebraska passed away February 3, 2025 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was born November 9, 1942 to Martin and Claudina (Van Auken) Hasenauer in Wellfleet, Nebraska.



Janet attended school in Cozad, Nebraska and graduated with the class of 1961. She then attended business school. On January 10, 1964, she was united in marriage to Rodney Heinzle. To this union three children were born, Steven, Troy, and Heather. They later divorced. Janet was a member of the Alpha Sigma of Beta Sigma Phi, North Platte Community Playhouse Board, Miss Nebraska organization, Union Pacific Junior Old Timers, Bunco and bowling groups. She loved organizing and helping decorate a room for Christmas at the Cody’s at Scouts Rest Ranch. She was truly blessed with an abundance of loving family and friends.



Survivors include her children, Steven Heinzle, North Platte, Troy (Kessy) Heinzle, North Platte, Heather (Joseph) Pucket, Clarksville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Kesha (John) Hoehne, Savannah (Paul) Knopick, Kylee (Alex) Lucci, Isaiah Pucket, Kennedy (Danny) Munoz; great-grandchildren, Sophie Hoehne, Nora Hoehne, Adley Knopick, Maylee Knopick, Enslie Knopick, Joleigh Knopick, Alora Munoz, Evryn Lucci; siblings, Byron (Deb) Jensen, Hastings, Nebraska, Ramona Shetler, Hastings, Nebraska, William Pedersen, Lincoln, Nebraska, Bruce (Cheryl) Hasenauer, Tennessee, MJ (Gyda) Hasenauer, Colorado; along with many other family and friends.



Janet is preceded death by her parents, Martin and Claudina; sister, Corrinne Pedersen; brother, Tony Hasenauer.

Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 10, 2025 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home. Job Vigil will be officiating. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Lue Wood has some wonderful memories of Janet dating back to over 60 years ago. Lue said they were friends and then raised their daughters together. Lue enjoyed talking to Janet through all of the years. She will be missed.
