Dear Jan was my father's cousin. Our paths crossed infrequently, Jan being in the US and my family in England. However, I have some wonderful memories of time spent with Jan in New Britain and of her hospitality. I also have pleasant memories of her visits to England and to my parents' home in Sussex, where she loved to spend time, especially tea time in the garden. Jan and I were ordained the same day as deacons.As the leader of the development of Seabury I always greatly valued her commitment to the wellbeing of the residents. We also shared the experiences of the ordination process which she took with outstanding grace. She will be greatly missed by all whose paths she crossed.
