It was too cloudy on 8/13 to see the peak of the Perseids meteor shower. I got up at 3:30am today and the skies were clear. The stars were brilliant. I saw so many Mom, and thought of both you and Janet Marie. I'm glad you are together. The sunrise was beautiful too. Love and miss you both

I celebrate my Mom today, who passed away on Friday the 13th in August 2010. It was a beautiful night and the Perseid Meteor showers were peaking. They had always been her favorite. Folks often say they wish they had one more day with the loved one they lost... I've never felt that way about my Mom. She was suffering. She was weak and blind at the end. She knew when I entered the room because of the scent I wore. She did peacefully pass at our family home on Lakemont Street just...
