Not sure what to say?

Sonny,
I am so terribly sorry to hear of Jan's death. I was talking to my sons about her just a couple of days ago. My older boy asked me if any teachers had especially touched my life, and I told him about Jan. I am so glad I told Jan what an important, positive impact she had on me. You played a more important role in my life than you'll ever know. I honestly believe that the two of you saved me during my teen years. My love and prayers are with you.

Dear Joe:

I was devastated to learn of Jan's death. I cannot believe it. I will cherish our email exchanges after I left the company that brought us together, the times I worked with her in the New Orleans schools, the times we talked. Her optimism and upbeat response to all that you and she went through sometimes amazed me, though it was clear that her faith - and your love and companionship - were what made it possible. I will miss her.

With all my love to you in your deep loss.

My prayers and thoughts go out to the family. Mrs.Landwehr was a very kind loving and giving person, her first year at Shaw Elem.she was my daughter's teacher and a very good teacher. We will miss her dearly. She will always be in our heart.
The Joseph Family

DEAR JOE, BROTHER IN CHRIST, JESUS PRAYED:"FATHER, I WILL THAT THEY ALSO, WHOM THOU HAST GIVEN ME, BE WITH ME WHERE I AM". THANKS BE TO GOD FOR THE GIFT OF FAITH IN CHRIST..FOR JAN IS WITH HIM.

Joe, Hank and I were obviously stunned when we heard that the Lord had chosen to take Jan to be with Himself. Death is always such a time for sorrow and gratitude. Sorrow, because separation is always so difficult. Gratitude, since we recall the blessing which in her lifetime she has been to so many others. In the midst of the clouds we experience the ray which is ours in the Resurrection.

Jan will be much missed at our luncheons.

Harold and Hank

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life’s routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Sonny, it was good to see you, but sorry it was due to such a sad event. Jan will certainly be missed by many! You two have touched so many lives and I would like to thank you for countless hours you two poured into many impressionable young lives. There are so many fond memories of Walther League summer plays and retreats (especially the retreat with Dr. Nau!) and gathering around the big old oak tree in front of the Biloxi Beach Motor Inn for our annual retreat picture.

Sonny,

I am sorry I was unable to attend Jan's funeral. I just wanted you to know how much you and Jan have deeply touched my life. When I look back I realize how attending Our Savior and being a member of the Walther League truly formed the adult I have become today. This didn't happen by accident. It was through the dedication of you and Jan. And although I may not have been exactly a model student, I always knew you and Jan still loved me! You see, I was one of the fortunate...

Dear Sonny,Teddy,and Family,
My heart goes out to all of you. I know what it means to lose the love of your life. Jan has now joined Mike just 4 months to the day when Mike started living the good life with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Mama and I both will continue to keep you all in our prayers. Please call us if there is anything we can do.
All our love,
Ann and Grace
