Janet Lederhaus

June 15, 1942 ~ May 27, 2025

Age ~ 82

Janet Lederhaus of Three Lakes, 82, died on May 27, 2025, at home with her family by her side.  Born in Milwaukee, WI to Ralph and Loretta Templeman.  She married David in 1961 who predeceased her in 2021.

Jan leaves behind her children, Lori (Roger Hoffmann) Schmidt and Dean (Karla) Lederhaus, sister, Susie Beaumont, wonderful family and friends.

Jan worked for Milwaukee Public Schools as a teacher’s aide and Milwaukee Health and Police departments as an accounting clerk.  She and David retired to Three Lakes in 2003.  She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church.

Jan enjoyed playing golf, bunco and dartball.  She loved pontoon boat rides.  Playing cards and mahjong with incredible friends was a priority in her weekly schedule.  She spent countless hours crafting, sewing, knitting, pottery, needlepoint and making custom greeting cards. Jan had volunteered her time reading to children at Three Lakes School District.  She enjoyed volunteering at the Three Lakes Center for the Arts Gallery, surrounded by beautiful art and meeting new people.  A member and one time treasurer of Three Lakes Women’s Club, Jan received the Co-Woman of the Year Award in 2024.

A memorial service for Jan will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Faith Lutheran Church, 6995 US Hwy 45 S, Three Lakes.  Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

Not sure what to say?

Jan was a warm loving person who touched many lives. A tree in her memory will be planted at Big Stone Golf Course.

I enjoyed playing BUNCO with Jan these last 2 years. She helped us know and follow all the rules! One thing, I remember her telling all of us was that it takes usually 7 clicks on the remote to fast forward through all the commercials on programs DVR'd. We will truly miss her here in Three Lakes, that's for sure.

I worked with Jan at the MPD. She was a great teammate and her efforts and friendship with coworkers were valued immensely. With sympathy and blessings.

Heaven received a dear, lovely soul with Jan's passing. She will be sorely missed.

I first met Jan through TLWC. She always had that welcoming smile. We both had computer issues and we would try to solve each other’s dilemma without results. But we would always laugh about it and then give up, saying I will ask my kids. I was honored to get to know her, learn from her.(bunco) and share woman of the year with her.

Dean and Karla She was a great friend and had many great hours of friendship with her. I saw the special care you gave her in this battle of cancer. It was wonderful to see the love you gave her. She is now resting in peace. I hope you keep all the good memories you had with her. Diane and Dennis hoffman
