My condolences to her husband, Gene Lerner, who I had the pleasure of working for in the 1990's in Evanston, her children, ( I also knew Laura ). Although I did not know Mrs. Lerner very well, I had the pleasure of meeting her and she was a remarkable woman. I just learned of her passing, yet I wanted to express my condolences to her family.

Dr. Lerner and her work inspired me during my career of over 40 years. I was sorry to learn of her passing but rejoice in the legacy she left for the world from her work as an educator and for her family as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. God Bless her soul and those of the millions who have been directly touched by her work.

Dr. Lerner was an inspiration. Throughout my 35 year career in special education, I have referenced her materials. She was an absolute pioneer in the field. Her wisdom and intellect will live on forever.

She taught us so much. She helped us to understand the learning differences of others and, at the same time, to look at the whole human being with the deepest respect. In other words, we were taught not to define people by their differences. The world is a better place because of Dr. Lerner, & I offer my...

I have so much to remember. We were in several groups together. I have read her books from book one to one of the near recet books. She was a teacher, mentor , collegue and advisor as well as a fellow member of the different groups of LD. She even introduced me to the learly groups that no longer exist in ld. I have been involved with Janet for over the last 44 years.
