Janet Anne Linderbaum

Jan was a talented musician who wrote Viterbo University's alma mater song. During her retirement, she volunteered in Viterbo's archives and helped preserve the school's history. I had the privilege of meeting her several years ago when she stopped by the archives to visit. I was fairly new to the archivist position, and I felt encouraged by her words, smile, and presence. She was a very kind, friendly woman. I have enjoyed hearing many wonderful stories about her from her Viterbo colleagues....

Sympathy to the family...my thoughts and prayers are with you. I attended De Soto WI High School in the 1970's where Miss. Linderbaum was my music teacher. I would like to share a memory I think her family would enjoy. One of our Home Economic assignments was to prepare breakfast and invite a teacher as our guest. I invited one of my favorite teachers, Miss Linderbaum. I wanted everything to be just perfect for her. When she broke open her boiled egg to my horror it was not cooked...at...
