Not sure what to say?

I just realized she's passed away, she was the first author that I really love and make fall in love on the reading. I was reading again my favorite book "la tarde de los elfos" is shame I never have the honor to meet her. My condolences, she always be in the heart of this colombian fan. Thank you for make my inner child dream.

I'm so saddened to hear this news. Janet was my colleague for many years on the Rutgers University Council on Children's Literature, and in fact recruited me into that organization. She was also a Montclair neighbor. I loved her zany, sharp wit and her generosity of spirit. Lost touch a bit when she moved to Rhode Island, but was happy to connect with her around the time of RUCCL's 50th anniversary in 2019. This is a tremendous loss. I send my heartfelt condolences to her family.

She was...

J.J. was my childhood neighbor and classmate...so very fun, creative, and upbeat. I remember her intelligence, and love of reading! I was so proud of her success in her writing, and love her books. I am sorry to hear of her passing, and send all her family my condolences. I am sure she will be missed.

I am deeply saddened to hear the news of Janet's passing. She was very kind. Caring and could share a good joke. She will be missed. Wishing comfort for all her family and friends.
