Not sure what to say?

Today a friend sent me a copy of Jan's obituary. Please accept my sincere sympathy and regards for you and the family's loss.  I have so many wonderful, warm memories of our times at UNR and later my visit to you both in the Carson Vally.  I am filled with sorrow that I let our close friendship slip away over the years. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

If there was ever a sparkling example of a truly beneficial, honest and dedicated public servant, it was Janet MacDonald. I'll print a personal remembrance in the Jan. 29 Sparks Tribune, permanently archived at the NevadaLabor website.

May beautiful Janet rest in peace. Work well done. Life well lived.

We were college friends and remainded connected from the late 50's through the mid 60's. There was always the beautiful smile and dreams. What a free spirit and a delightful woman with a big, wonderful smile. Jan had a lot of energy and planned great parties..always having something special for her guests. All ways most gracious and kind. May the angels guide her into paradise.

Jan was a woman who believed in the power of women and was a great inspiration to me. She was a dear friend and will be so missed. My deepest sympathy to Ron, Frank and her extended family.

Jan was a wonderful generous mentor. Always encouraging and supportive. She believed in me, a young new graduate. Ron, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
