Janet Hope Messick

Hope was my neighbor for over 40 years. I always looked forward to our chats in the driveway and sharing new paintings that she loved so much.
We were both "cat people" and enjoyed each other's stories and photographs. She always had something interesting to share.
She loved animals which extended to the squirrels and rabbits and even deer that occasionally entered her backyard.

Holidays will not be the same, especially Christmas.

I met Ms. Messick a few years ago, she would come to where I work once or twice a month, we quickly learned that we both shared a love for books, I will miss our talks about what we were both currently reading and what we have read, she was always such a joy to talk to and extremely knowledgeable. Fly high Ms Messick you will be missed.

Ms. Messick had a profound and long-lasting positive influence on my education and passion for learning. Rest In Peace.

What a terrific teacher and public servant! She devoted her professional life to helping students. She inspired me --a half century ago-- and for that I'll be forever grateful. Rest in peace, "Ms. Messick," with the thanks of hundreds of your students.
