Not sure what to say?

Janet, you were, during my childhood, my favorite aunt, always thoughtful and kind. I was always in awe of you.

Throughout my childhood, grandma Morgan was one of the most significant people in my life. As the years passed, she was always who I would look to to embrace my creative personality, as she had always been a true artist. And I remember every moment that I'd find her looking around embracing every small trace of creativity as she and I walked through the streets of Greenpoint, Brooklyn. I still view her as an inspiration, to inspire me to spread kindness and creativity. Rest in peace grandma...

I just found out tonight that Mr. Mol passed away. I was her student at NFA for painting and AP studio art. Her impact on my life is difficult to type here. I hang a painting on my wall that I created in her class. It's set in a 6-pane window. It fell off the wall one night at school and Ms. Mol found it in the morning. She was cautious to share the bad news, but assured me that she thought it looked better after breaking... I now teach art at NFA. I never thought I would teach, but as I...

After trying and failing to get in touch with her, I learned on October 10 that she died last May. We met at Philadelphia College of Art in 1958 when she was a brilliantly talented young artist. We became lifelong friends though our visits were few and far between. When she and Jim eloped, they came to my little house on the way to Maryland where they got married. Each time we got together we resumed whatever conversation we had the last time we met. There are so many memories and my heart is...

Janet Mol was my favorite teacher. I remember the day she picked me to model in class; she always encouraged me to embrace my unique talent in painting & creativity. Mrs. Mol said she loved my big poofy textured Afro. LOL. Janet taught me & later had my daughter also in drawing class. I´m so sorry for your loss she touched many lives. I went on to the Corcoran Art school. Rest in power Janet. Amen

My condolences to Janet's family. I was very sorry to hear of Janet's passing. She was my art teacher at NFA and very influential for me on my path. Her intelligent, warm, bright, kind, inclusive presence has stayed with me well beyond high school. My heart goes out to her.

Janet was one of the most compassionate and visionary people I knew. As a colleague at NFA, I loved her art, her conversation, her laughter and savored her friendship. Much peace and healing to her children and her extended family! The world has lost another creative light!

My time in Ms. Mol's classes were some of the best, most productive and satisfying moments of high school. Decades later, I still fell her encouragement every time I pick up a pencil or a brush. She was far too young to leave this world.

I absolutely luved Janet as my art teacher! One of the best teachers i had.I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She is making heaven even more beautiful..Jamie k.
