Fond memories of Jan's encouragement, advice and instruction as a member of the Embroiderers' Guild here in NY. Dyeing thread lessons and pre-workshop gatherings with the teachers she so kindly housed when they came to teach our chapter. My condolences to the Nyquist family on the loss of your mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. I clearly remember the afternoon I spent at her home doing her portrait to be included in my exhibit of Artists and Creative people, an apt description of her. I so enjoyed the time I spent with her that day. As I look at her portrait it makes me remember what a warm and talented woman she was and how I enjoyed that brief time with her.
