Not sure what to say?

Her smile and generosity will always be missed.

Dear Oechsle family -- We are shaken and sad to hear this news. I can't imagine the gap that is now left. Goodness brings goodness -- words to live by. We are thankful for learning that theme for life from Mrs. Oechsle. Her encouragement to reach for the stars touched every student. We were thankful and excited when our son's national science fair experience led to the renaming of the asteroid in her honor. So befitting. To us she always was and will always be "the" teacher. We will never...

I got to know Janet through my 2 girls, her students. They loved her, not only because she was an effective teacher, but also because of her compassion. I watched how Janet´s students reached out to Jenny and gave of themselves. Her classroom was filled with love and acceptance of everyone, what all parents wish for their kids! I will cherish my fond memories of Janet.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always and remember her smile which reflected her beautiful soul.

I am shocked to see the news of Janet's passing. I am so so sorry. She was a wonderful, compassionate, giving, happy, positive person like we need more of in this world. To her family, I offer my most sincere heartfelt sympathy in this very very sad time. Loretta Geotis

So much love and kindness shared by one woman... so many people thankful for her.... She will be missed by many. Many wishes to Russ and her family that they may find peace during this difficult time.

She was truly our 1st responder when we had an accident years ago. Just by chance she was driving along, stopped and stayed with us until the ambulances got there. I remember that she found out youngest daughter in a field across the road and wouldn't leave her side til the paramedic got to you. Sharon used to babysit the girls when they lived on the lake. She has a special place in our hearts!

Janet was a kind, caring friend and a tireless worker for Voices for Florida Keys Children. Her positive attitude; "we will work it out", and she always did. I will sorely miss her. Sending love and prayers to all the Oechsle family Sue Whitley
