Not sure what to say?

To the family, sorry for the loss of your mother. I remember Jan as always a hard worker, go getter and thorough with taking care of her children and supporting the beautiful home you grew up in Wood Rd. Many years have passed since the days of hanging out there on the ranch, but the great and youthful memories are always there. Hope you are all are doing well, Jerry Pappas

Nana & Isaac (her great-grandbaby)

I will never forget the love I saw in Nana's eyes as she looked at my son. I know one of the big reasons she was excited to move across country to Maryland at the end of her life was because it meant she could meet and be close to her great-grandson. I'm deeply saddened to think he won't remember her, but I'm so glad she got to hold him and love him. One day soon I'll be able to show him pictures, and tell him about his great-grandmother. I'll talk to him about what it was like for me to have...

Mom and Dad July 1, 1950.

I miss you so much my heart hurts. Thank you for all you taught me, for setting the example of how to be a great mother, for supporting me through good times and bad, but most of all for loving me unconditionally. Until we meet again, may God hold you in his everlasting love.

Jan was like a second mother to me from the time I was just a couple years old. Spending the night as a child was always comforting in that Jan would come in and say prayers with us and give a kiss on the forehead before sleep. I will always remember long summer days, holiday celebrations, and a wonderful childhood...much due to my time spent at the Nightingale home. I am so grateful that I was able to see Jan one last time just a short time ago. I know that she had a wonderful birthday...

Jan Parr "Grandma" at Alex & Faith's wedding in 2018 at St. Augustine's Church in Elkridge MD.

God sent a grandmother's love to me through Jan Parr. Growing up, without my maternal & paternal grandmothers, I didn't know what I was missing - that is until I met my (then) fiance's grandmother - Jan Parr.
I remember visiting with her in Rockford at Le's house, she'd invited me to her room to talk. & We chatted for what felt like a few hours, just about life & work & wedding plans. She kept saying "I'm so glad we got to meet before the wedding & now we know each other so much...

A special lady and a Friend Forever.

We will miss your smiling face and wish you had more time here on earth to enjoy your big family before you had to go. Forever in our hearts.
