POTES, Janet K. (Schreiber) of Flushing, age 77, entered her eternal home on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9 at Faith Missionary Church, 1327 North Elms Road, Flint, MI. Pastor Brent Kriesch officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday at Faith Missionary Church.
Janet was born June 12, 1944 to Jacob and Agnes Schreiber (Gorecki) of Flint, Michigan. Janet married Patrick Potes on May 25, 1963 and celebrated almost 52 years of marriage before his death on February 26, 2015. Janet retired in 2001 from Health Care Solutions. Pat and Janet loved to camp, travel, and being with their family. Janet also loved cooking and eating chicken noodle soup and dumplings with her husband, daughter, and granddaughters. She served in many capacities at Faith Missionary Church for several decades.
Janet leaves her daughter, Tracy (James) Leman; granddaughters, Heather (Nathan) Pierce, Hillary (Laura) Blaser, and Ashley (Andrew) Martin; and great grandchildren, Carson, Addison, Claire, Harper, and Leo. She also leaves her sister, Marion Hastings; special brother, Denny Reno; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, in-laws, and many special family and friends.
Janet will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with your Mom years ago at Flint Medical supply. I have great memories of her. She was a wonderful person. I was always impressed by her strong faith.
