Janet Medina Reed

I only met Jan a few times but it was clear she was a bright energetic women who was comfortable with herself. I am grateful for all of the joy she brought to and shared with my lifelong friend, Milt.

Jan was the consumate friend and colleague. Always innovative and collaborative, she added to any team she worked with. We spent many hours talking about theories and finding ways to apply strategies. My fondest memories of graduate school include hours with Jan and others in our group, several of whom are also gone. Her intelligence, warmth, honesty, and courage will long be remembered. SHe will be missed. I'm sorry that I was out of town when the memorial was held.

Janet was a courageous woman, both personally and professionally. She was a dear friend while I was at the University of Michigan and then we became colleagues at Georgia State University. I wish we had shared more time together in our later years.

Ellen my thoughts and prayers are with you. Remember the good times with your mom. She was a very interesting individual. So sorry I missed the memorial.
