Dear Jim and Janet´s family, We were so saddened to hear of Janet´s passing today, and regret we were unable to attend her funeral because of it. Her gifts to the St Louis community are well documented in her obituary and in the previous posts here, but it was her kindness that drew us and so many to her. She leaves we know a huge void in your lives and so many others, but we we feel so fortunate to have have known her and considered ourselves friends. With our sincerest sympathy and...

Dear Family and Friends of Janet, Janet´s joie de vivre can be seen all around us in St. Louis. He passion for the arts and cultural landscapes has left a lasting impression on me and I am so grateful to know her. What a blessing she has been to so many. Jim and Family, our hearts go out to you during this season of grieving and want you to know you are surrounded by many friends. Peace be with you,

One sterling woman! Although my memories of Mizzou days are vague, the Nentwig name popped up a lot! Her commitment to Jim, her family, her friends, and her civic involvement was most obvious. There will be a void but her memory will be remembered for years to come. Linda VonderBruegge

I am one of Janet´s long time, very fortunate friends. As sorority sisters, we shared so many good times and fun. I did not remain in Missouri after graduation but returned for every reunion possible, looking forward to Janet´s warm welcome and lots of smiles and laughter. She was kind and thoughtful, energetic and creative. She has added much to my life over the past 64 years, and I will miss her very much! Those who knew her are very fortunate.

Dear Sarah and family, So incredibly sorry for your loss. Our deepest condolences. Thaxter and Lisa Tewksbury

Dear Jim, and Janet's Family, Christy and I were so sad to hear of Janet's passing. She was always so positive and a delight to be with. Our thoughts and best wishes are with you in the time of grief. John and Christy Nickel.

To Jim and Family, I am so sorry for the loss of this fantastic woman. Although I haven't seen her in years, I always remembered her as the nicest person I ever met. We worked briefly together at the St. Louis Symphony where I also met Jim. She will be missed.
