Not sure what to say?

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will miss you and your love of plants, and I cherish the ones you gave me. So sorry that you, Claudia and I didn't have lunch together.

Janet was a wonderful woman. She started out being my perennials supplier, but quickly became my friend. She showed me many kindnesses over the decades and I will miss her conversation. I will be reminded of her always when I tend to the plants in my garden that she grew. She was an inspiration to women nursery professionals, by struggling and achieving success in a business dominated by men. I can only offer her loved ones my deepest condolences and sorrow, but know that she was admired...

Janet was a member in very high standing of the Green Brier Road Gang and, when we played Big Kids against the Little Kids Janet qualified as a Big Kid along with me and Chris Kisky. The Little Kids were represented by Janet's brother Donald, Karen Kisky and my sister Valarie Davidson Mattson.

Back in the day, Janet was always one for starting clubs. On afternoon we were all huddled together in the Kisky's Pig House. Janet decided what all we needed was a new club which she began...

So sorry to hear of Janets passing. She was quite a plant fanatic. grew some of the best perennials. Always had some new and interesting plant. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Dear Jim and Scott I'm sorry for your loss,I have lots of great memories of your mom she had a wonderful sense of humor and a very quick wit. I learned about many plants from her and still have them in my yard . It brings a smile to my face thinking about telling stories and sharing a glass of wine with Warren and Janet I will miss her.

A toast to a charter member of the Big Demons and Little Demons!
She had a wonderful mind and a great sense of humor. An original Greenbriar road girl. I had visited her nursery and was fortunate to receive one of her Janet Starnes hellebores. I think of her every time I see them in my yard. ❤
