Not sure what to say?

My deepest condolences to Janet's family and friends. I met Janet at her Sit 'n' Knit shop many years ago, buying yarn for crochet projects. After many failed attempts to learn on my own, Janet taught me how to knit with great patience and kindness. Such a gift! I always loved stopping in and picking up beautiful yarn or taking a class or just saying hi. I regularly saw Janet at the MSO concerts and so enjoyed catching up with her. She was a warm-hearted, kind soul and will be sorely missed.

I met Janet a few years ago , we became quick friends. I remember her as a sweet and kind lady who was always ready to go out and have an adventure. Janet was blessed with a beautiful family and many friends my sympathies go out to you all.

I'm so sorry to hear of Janet's passing. We were part of the Hoover School Family and she was loved by all. Such a beautiful and caring woman. The children as well as parents loved her. Our sincere sympathy to the family and friends of this wonderful woman. May she watch over all of you and keep you safe.

I am so surprised to hear of Janet's passing. She was a talented woman in many ways. I remember when I helped Tom and and Janet move into their first apartment and they were playing Motown music as we moved furniture. She was always kind to me and my wife. I so wish that we could have spent more time with her.

I was very sorry to hear of Janet's passing. Janet was a charming girlhood friend. I remember playing with dolls and sewing clothes for their wardrobes. Janet was creative and enjoyed crafts even then! Always patient and kind she was the perfect friend with whom to share a secret. My heartfelt condolences go out to her children, her many friends and to Jack and Paulette. Peace be with you. Linda (Schaalman) Beardsley

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Janet. Both Janet & Tom were longtime supporters of the Melrose Symphony Orchestra.

Please know you have our thoughts and prayers at this time.

Melrose Symphony Board of Directors

We were so saddened to hear of Janet's passing and our thoughts and prayers are with you. She was one of the most kind people we have ever met. She and Tom were our inspiration to buy a car in Europe a long time ago. We are sure she is with Tom in heaven.

So sorry to hear of Janet's passing. May she rest in peace with Tom. We have many fond memories of them in Marriage Prep at St. Mary's, which launched hundreds of couples beginning the amazing adventure of marriage. And Janet was so helpful at Sit n Knit to this very inept would be knitter. Our prayers for her and all the family. Peace, blessings and hope in this season of the Resurrection.

My condolences to her children on the passing of their gentle, caring mother. She was always ready to help me with the Girl Scout troop that Abby belonged to and we had many fundraisers at Roosevelt School that she supported. God bless....
