Read MoreJanet and I lived across the street from each other when we were growing up on the south side of Syracuse. We were best friends through high school and stayed in touch through college. We exchanged long letters every birthday and Christmas for many years. Jan had a wonderful sense of humor, and I looked forward to her letters.
