Not sure what to say?

Janice was my cousin. We played bunco at many bridal and baby showers

She was an inspiring educator! The passion she had for the literature she shared was contagious.

Many of the teachers I had at OVHS were excellent. Miss Agard like so many others asked us to be better than we thought we were. She gave us the freedom to be "us" yet made us be more. My favorite memory is her letting us drive her car to Dunkin´ Doughnuts to get doughnuts for English class.

Jan was my favorite instructor or Orchard View HS (1969). She was such an enthusiastic instructor that made my English classes so interesting. She asked me to help in her Dancercize and Slimnastic instruction. We taught together for years after I graduated from H. S, She inspired me to go into teaching P. E. And coach gymnastics for a career. Loved her! RIP JAn.

Of all the teachers I had at OV you were one of my favorites. You will truly be missed. You were so bubbly and you and I had a few laughs together after I graduated. Rip Beautiful Lady . Lauri (Monte) Wierda

I did not like English. I did not like it at all. But I loved Jan Agard's class. As someone who is in the middle of her 33rd year teaching high school mathematics, I can tell you that she was a huge inspiration to me. She taught me some incredible life lessons. One of those was to get over myself. I thought I was pretty smart... She taught me that I still had some things to learn. Gave me the only D I ever had in high school. It was on a paper. I kind of thought if I just did it, she would...

My favorite teacher. Live in eternity.

I had her for reading class and she taught me a lot. Those book reports were brutal but I learned a lot. Thank you Miss Agard.

She truly loved teaching because it showed. Such an amazing, loving person.
