Aunt Janice was a great lady. She always made me laugh, too. She was a great Mother to her boys. She did alot of research on our Yates family. I miss her. Sheppard Yates

Jan was a special lady & a good friend to me. Our sons, Ben & Ned were good friends. We were neighbors. We often had lady lunches, played bridge & held prayer groups. Ned, Im thinking of you & pray for your peace in this loss. RIP, Jan.

I count it all joy, the privilege of knowing Jan for many years through my association with The Studio Shop in Charlotte. Her wonderful smile and giving ways caused all around her to be arrested by her charm and genuine care. We loved Jan and she loved us, WOW what a child of God! Jan left us each,a grand legacy to strive for. Thank you Jan, our lives are much the richer for knowing you! Hugh Weiss

I cherish the time that I worked for Jan at Honeychile. I especially enjoyed the Christmas open house when Richard would join us at the store. I also have several pieces of Jan's artwork. I display them proudly in my home. Jan will be missed by many.

Aunt Janice was a social delight who loved having fun and surprising people in hilarious ways. In fact, FUN could have been her middle name. She will definitely be missed. Our sincere and heartfelt sympathies to Bryon, John, Ned and families..
