Not sure what to say?

I must correct this obituary - Janice, or Miss Hamley as I knew her in 1966, began her teaching career at North Hills High School near Pittsburgh, PA, where I was one of her first students. She returned after Christmas break that year as Mrs. B. I did her a favor one time, and she returned the favor by writing a wonderful letter of recommendation for my college applications. I considered her to be not just a teacher, but also a friend. Once she moved south with Mr. B., we lost touch. ...

One of my son´s very favorite teachers!!

I was one of Mrs. Benzenhoefer's many, many fortunate students. While it has been 40+ years since I was in her Dilworth classroom I continue to adore her. Blessings to Janice and her legacy of education in Charlotte

Such a beautiful, stylish and kind person. Oh, did she love her beautiful hair!

I loved Mrs. Benzenhoefer! We all did. I had her at AG in the eighties and she was the coolest teacher out there, well maybe tied with Ms. Stickley. I know she will be missed.

I am so sad to see this news. We loved "Senora" and enjoyed seeing her on her VERY FAST walks in the neighborhood. Please know how much we will miss her light, big smile and laughter. She was a treasure.

Mrs. Benzenhoefer was a delightful teacher. I will always remember kind and loving nature as a teacher at University Park Elementary School. She was the first person who introduced me to GREEN BELL PEPPERs. She was having a few strips for lunch one day and shared a strip with me. I think I was in the 5th Grade at the time and I've held that memory for over 40 years. Later, I learned that she was a great friend and neighbor to my mother's employers. Small world! My warmest thoughts...

Senora Janice was a client of ours at Hendrick BMW Charlotte, and her lovely spirit and soul will be missed and cherished forever! This news is very heartbreaking to hear but I rejoice for I know where her soul now resides! I celebrate the short time I've gotten to know and interact with her. She always gave me new phrases to learn in Spanish, as she knew I was wanting to learn a second language. I will be keeping her friends and family in prayers and holding you all in light/love. What a...

Senora Benzenhoefer was one of my absolute favorite teachers. She taught me Spanish at Myers Park High school around 1998. She made class interesting and fun and I learned so much from her from her that I am still able to communicate with Spanish speaking patients I encounter at work. I´m sorry for her family´s loss.
