Dear Mark,
The sad news about losing my very dear friend and colleague, Janice, broke my heart. Janice was kind, thoughtful, and professional in every way. Last time I saw her, some time ago, I told her that I will never, never forget her fairness and kindness to me. She was ethical and honorable. I know that she is in Heaven looking after you, Nathanael and Andrew.
May prayers are with you and God bless you all.

Such sad news. I knew Jan through ARLIS/NA and ARLIS/NE for many years. I last spoke to her a year or so ago when I encountered her by chance outside the BPL. She was always admired for her professionalism, and loved for her warmth. I know I will never forget her. My condolences to Mark and her two sons.

I am so sorry to hear this! I did a practicum in Fine Arts at the BPL for my Art Documentation class at Simmons, and Jan was always very kind and supportive. Sending all of my sympathy.

I have spent many hours engaged in research in Fine Arts at the Boston Public Library, and I valued Jan very much. She was both warm and extremely capable. What a loss.

Dear Mark,
I just heard about Janice. I am so so very sorry for your loss. The boys must be very sad and I can only imagine how difficult all of this must be for all of you. I remember that fun time we had at your house for dinner and it was so nice to have known Janice.
Think of you,

Mark,
we were so sorry to hear about the passing of your wife Janice. Our daughter Ella is a good school friend of Andrew. On the number of times we met Janice we found her such a warm, friendly and compassionate person. Let us know if we can help in anyway.

Dear Mark, Nathanael and Andrew,
I am deeply sadened by the loss of Janice, I will always remember her as an individual that made me feel very welcomed to the Brookline community, she is indeed a woman of strength and courage. Blake and Bryce will continue to share in laughter and sports with the boys, she always thanked us for "teaching them how to play".

Mark, I was shocked to hear of Janice's passing. She was my best friend in middle and high school, and one of the smartest. She had a way of lighting up a room with her bright eyes and warm smile. You and your family are in our prayers.
