Not sure what to say?

I believe the Holy Spirit guided me to search on line for an old school friend (Brent), and I was deeply saddened to learn of the loss of his mother, Jan. It is always difficult to lose one's mother, and with a mom like Jan Despain, it must be harder than most. She had laughter on her lips and in her soul. What a dear woman. My sincere condolences to the Despain family. God rest her soul.

Hi Mel, again I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I hope you can comfort in knowing Jan's strength and caring so clearly lives on in the hearts and intent of your children.

Dear Mel and family,
How I loved Jan! She taught me so much in the YW program. She was the joy that many of us needed. Love to Dana, miss seeing her growing up being the wonderul mother to Spencer.
Love, Jeanne Brown

As classmate and friend of Jancie's in Jr. High and High School, I am deeply saddened to learn of her death through readng her obituary in the Herald Journal. Please accept my sincere condolences and may peace and comfort be with her family and friends.

DeSpain Family -
Sorry to hear about your Jan. What a great family friend. Lots of memories growing up in Clear Lake, especially a water balloon/ shaving cream/ toilet paper war at 3:00 in the morning at our house. I remember being a little kid and having Steve come over to our house when he was in high school. I hope everyone is doing as well as possible. The Jim Williams also sends their condolences.

Janice and I grew up together in Logan and shared many happy times. I haven't seen her since college, but wanted to express my sincere sympathy to her family. I was sadden to read of her death. May you be blessed with peace and comfort during this difficult time.

We were so sorry to hear of Jan's passing. We send our love to her family. We have fond memories of helping she and Mel pack to move to Boise. Claudia and Bob Fisher

Jan was the Stake YW President when my children were in the program here in South Texas. They loved her because she was fun, spiritual, and they knew she loved them. We were truly blessed to have her as an example and leader to our youth, she left an impression on our hearts that we will always remember. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

To Janice's family. Janice and I grew up together in Logan "living on the hill" I loved being her friend and neighbor. I will always remember "sleep over's, waterskiing, sunbathing, double dating, sorority life together, etc., but most of all I will remember her as my best friend. She kept all the secrets we shared and bore her testimony often when we were young. I was so saddened to hear of her death from my sister in Logan. I'm on a mission with my husband in Malaysia or I would be...
