Janice M. (nee Gailliot). Beloved wife of 35 years to Thomas Eberle. Loving mother of Michael and Jeffrey (Mindy) Karam. Dear grandmother of Nicholas, Sarah, Eric and Thomas Karam. Great-grandmother of Charlize Karam. Sister of Mary (Herbert) Thaxton-Myers, JoAnn (Eric) Paderi, Thomas Gailliot (Toni Beam) and Arthur Gailliot. Sister-in-law of Fr. Richard Eberle and Roberta Connolly. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015. Age 73. Janice grew up in Toledo, Ohio, but later relocated with her husband and children to Monterey, California, Massapequa Park, New York and Cincinnati (Evendale), Ohio. Janice had a very full career as a registered nurse specializing in emergency room nursing at St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo and a number of hospitals around the country including Salinas, California and Bay Shore New York. She later specialized in endoscopy finishing her career at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, Ohio. She retired from nursing in 2005. She did volunteer work for Foot Care for the Homeless in Cincinnati for 17 years until the organization disbanded. She later volunteered for other charities, even following her retirement and eventual diagnosis with cancer. She enjoyed traveling the world with friends and family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed most of all looking after all of the children. Later in life she still found the time to study Spanish and learn to play the piano. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 20th at St. Michael Catholic Church, 11144 Spinner Avenue, Sharonville, Ohio In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
