She is survived by her husband, Marshall; five children, Jeff (LaDonna) Hayes, Marshall (Jennifer) Hayes, Casey (Bonnie) Hayes, Shelley (Robert) Hueber and Amy (Rod) Engstrom; twelve grandchildren, Spencer and Berkley Hayes, Olivia and Isabella Hayes, Sam, Kelsey and Eli Hayes, Alexandra and Joel Hueber, and Nate, Noah and Gabrielle Engstrom; three siblings, Jean (Stanley) Hydrick, Jim (Dorothy) Armes and Brenda (Dwight) Bowman; three brothers-in-law, Ron (Carol) Hayes, Ken (Marcia) Hayes and David (Mary) Walker; and several nieces and nephews. She also is survived by a very special mother-in-law, Evelyn Walker.
She was preceded in death by two siblings, Robert Lynn and Angela Lamphere; her mother, father, stepfather and father-in-law.
A memorial service and celebration of life is scheduled with a welcome from 10:30-11 a.m. and a service from 11 a.m.-noon, followed by a luncheon on Saturday, Dec. 17, at First Baptist Church of DeKalb. Cremation will take place at Finch Crematory.

Not sure what to say?

Marshall - Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this very difficult time. May all of your special memories of Janice help to ease your sorrrow.

Just heard on Friday night that Janice will be singing with the angels this Christmas. We have been so out of touch since September so it was a shock for us, but we rejoice that she knew our Lord intimately and is now without the frailties of her last years. The words of the song "I Can Only Imagine" come to my mind - Janice now knows in full of the glory of God while we still see only in part! We are thankful for her life and are praying for your family in your loss.
