Jan and I became great friends during the early days of the Cottonwood Festival here in Alamogordo. Even though we didn't see each other often in more recent years, when we did meet, she was always ready with that "jan Jeter" smile, a great big hug, words of encouragement and a laugh. I am so sorry for her passing, but so grateful to have known her and called her my friend.

We met and became friends with Jan and Ron in 1990 when we bought the house across the street from them.
We shared good times & sad times together. Holidays were always fun together, and sad times came when I lost my husband and a grown son, and Jan lost her husband and a grown daughter.
Jan loved working and running the Ink Well. She also enjoyed all the civic duties she was involved in for the City of Alamogordo & HAFB
I miss you Jan, Mary Jane McDowell

Always smiling, full of laughter, and super friendly....that is how I will remember Jan. I was fortunate enough to have met her and Ron, thru the McDowell Family in Alamogordo. Great people, great lady. I miss them all.
To the family of Jan, I hope you find comfort in knowing how loved she was here in her community, and the impact she had upon it.
Thank you Jan for the friendship, the community outreach, and the blessing that Ink Well was for so many years. Happy...

I remember Ms. Jan on the numerous trips for the site at WSMR. She was very kind and always had a kind word and a smile. My condolences to the Jeter family and friends. God Bless.
