Janice P. Lane

I was just reminiscing about Mrs. Lane over the holidays- she had a profound impact on me as her student. I wanted to check on how she was doing and, unfortunately, I came across her obituary :(. I am very sad to hear the news, and while it might be a bit late, my heart is with your family.

She was an excellent educator- the fact I remember the 5th grade and all of her lessons are just one more testament to how much of an amazing teacher she was.

I'm sad I only learned...

I am so sorry to you all. I fondly recall Jan as one of the most welcoming, joyful and giving ladies that I've known. Peace and love to your family from mine during this time of grief.

Memories of Janice and Rick come to mind from our teen years. Nice to read here in the guest book about what a wonderful teacher she was. I am not surprised. My thoughts and prayers go out to you Rick and all her family and friends that love her.

What a wonderful woman. She was a fantastic teacher and is beloved by so many from Johnsburg. I am so sorry for your loss. My God help you through this difficult time.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I had Mrs Lane as a 5th grade teacher back in the 80's, and still to this day thought of her often and how she touched my life. She was a great teacher and a wonderful person. I will never forget her. My condolences to her family and friends.

Mrs. Lane was a wonderful lady and teacher. I haven't seen her in many moons but she definitely impacted my life. My sincere condolences to the family. May she rest in peace.
