I'm so sorry to learn of Jan's passing. We went to school together from 4th grade to 6th grade at Jefferson School in Gary, and then at Horace Mann High School. Jan and I we're friends since we were children and we continued being friends and graduated together from Horace Mann High School she had been a good friend although I haven't seen her for several years but I would think of her often. we had a class reunion which I could not go to but she sent me a lot of papers and pictures from it. i know she will rest in peace and have a lot of friends in heaven.

Dear Lawrence family, my sympathy and prayers for Jan and family. Always a happy, friendly spirit to all she met.

I am so very sorry, I will miss Jan very much as I know my husband Murphy will also, she was one of a kind.

My deepest sympathy to Jan's family,,,We've known one another since our early career in Gary Mercy hosp when she was working in the cafeteria and I was a nurse's aide......She was always a joy to run into...... Shirley Makivich Urbanek........
