Janice Lindberg was my colleague and my mentor. I began working with her in 1975 when she was the director of my department at the UM School of Nursing. We co-authored 4 textbooks together, and her scholarship set the tone for our work. Jan also encouraged me to return to school to earn my doctorate in nursing. Her influence on my career is immeasurable. I will always remember her high ideals, her support for students and young faculty, and her outstanding...

I worked with Jan for almost 10 years during the years when she was associate dean for student affairs. She was a wonderful colleague and most generous in sharing her wisdom with her colleagues and especially with students. her advisement and guidance of students individually and as student organizations went a long way in giving the student groups visibility within national groups, and in providing them with important leadership experiences. her commitment to the school of nursing was...
