Shelley and family, New Years Day and I was just thinking about my mother and yours. I looked up Janice to find your beautiful memories and photos. I'm so very sorry to know she's gone. She was the closest friend my mother ever had and I have such fond memories of her and your family. I love seeing the photo here with my parents. I remember her as a lovely, charming person with such a great sense of humor, that you, Shelley, shared. How lucky we were to have such wonderful people for mothers....

I am and will be forever grateful that this wonderful woman was my mother --and my best friend, after my husband. And she was always a mom, until the very end. A few days before she died, I called her at the hospital at the usual time and she couldn't answer. I was planning to just try again in a few minutes. But she called me right back --so worried that I would be worried. She kept saying, "I'm so sorry." Always a mom, a great one, even at 93 --but also a friend. I will love, grieve,...
