Not sure what to say?

Janice lived across the street from me, she was a good friend and neighbor. We all love Aunt Jess and her family. I thought about her several times during this past year. We were a very close net neighborhood even now. Problem being now we are losing each other. Janice well be missed.

Just learned of Jan's passing. I attended High School and Grandview College with Jan. She was always such an energetic and positive person. I enjoyed her company and our visits. We had great fun getting cheeseburgers and driving around in her brother's Corvette when he would loan it to her. Such great times. Such a warm and caring person. Very honored to have known her. Please know that her family and loved ones are in my thoughts and prayers. Chaplain Carmen Ashcraft Tegels

So sorry to hear just today of the passing of your wife. My prayers are with you. Your exceptional care of my husband, Dennis, will always remain in my heart. I think of you and your wife every time I return to Iowa to see my 99 year old mother. As I pass the little city of Jewell I will always think of our connection with your wife living there.

Dr Mattern, our very sincere condolences to you and your family as you mourn your loss. Linda and Kenneth Abernethy.

January, 1960 North High Graduation

The halls of North High are diminished with Jan's passing. Prayers and thoughts to her family and friends. Jan's 1960 North High class page: http://www.ndmhs.com/pages/yearclass1960(2020.60).html
Jan was a vibrant, enthusiastic, and caring individual who loved North High and her classmates. She kept actively involved with her North High classmates through all of these years.

Dr. Mattern, I was so sorry to read about the passing of Jan. She was a delight to be around and am so glad I had a chance to spend time with her when you came to DMU. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

John and Family, I was so sorry to hear about Jan, we had a wonderful Washington group and she was always a part of our yearly group meeting, we would spend our time talking about the old neighborhood the people and things that we did. It was nice seeing her in FL and able to spend some time with her and her cousin, I will miss her,but I am glad that she was a part of my life

I always enjoyed seeing her. She was uplifting and positive and almost always smiling.

I knew Jan through her Mother, Lucy. Worked with her for years at Allis-Chalmers. Heard so many great things about Jan, her life. Her work and of course her husband. My sincere condolences to you and your family.
