Not sure what to say?

It was your birthday on the 24th of October, Janice...
For everyone who loves you, this is an especially hard time of year. The last we spoke was Thanksgiving day, 2010.

It was Amy's birthday and she and Scott were coming over with a complete dinner from Whole Foods:
'But we put a frozen pumpkin pie in the oven so the house smells like the holidays.'

You'd called to tell me how well you felt. And added, "I'll call you soon to give you all the particulars,...

Dear Matthews family,
I was saddened to hear of the passing of Janice. Although I didn't see her often or know her well I always enjoyed my encounters with her. One memory I have is her bringing us lemonade when we played basketball at your house in our high school days. She was very caring. I'm sure she will be missed by your family and all that knew her. Our condolences go out to all members of the Matthews family.

MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES TO THE MATTHEWS FAMILY. I DIDNT KNOW JANICE PESONALY . SHE WAS A REGULAR CUSTOMER AT ALBERTSONS ON ZIA & ST FRANCIS. A VERY SWEET AND KIND LADY. ALWAYS WITH A SMILE. LOVED HER DEARLY. SHE WILL BE DEARLY MISSED. GOD BLESS HER FAMILY....CATHERINE MARTINEZ & FAMILY

My thoughts are with you all at this time. I am happy that I had the opportunity to know Janice, Dave, Tom, his wife Pam and Amy. Their energy and enthusiasm for life is contagious, and Janice seemed always to be the greatest example of their joy. She will be missed. Tony Miele

My deepest condolences to the Matthews family. Janice came regularly to the Body Conditioning class at Quail Run when she was not on the golf course. She always had a smile on her face. She had lots of energy and always kind words. I got to know her a little bit over the last several years. I will sincerely miss having her in class.

Summer, 2009...

Few people can say they truly love their mother in law; I am one of the fortunate. For over thirty years, Janice never failed to teach me something new or give me another reason to emulate her. Our children have wonderful memories of "GrandJanice" and Granddad from the trips we made to Santa Fe. Having her here in Morgantown during the onset of her illness was a gift to us. She was well enough during that time to enjoy visits with our family and we have lovely memories of that week together....

Getting to know Janice over the past five years was a delight! When she would visit her son, David John, and my sister, Patricia, in Morgantown, WV, I had the pleasure of becoming her friend. Janice was always appreciative of every small kindness and I feel so blessed for the time we spent together.
We enjoyed chatting on the phone when she would call and I was extremely fond of her. I know her loving husband & family will not allow her to be forgotten.

We have fond memories of Janice when we met in the '50's. Dance Club and Bridge weer among the activities we enjoyed with Janice and Dave. Please accept our condolences.
