Janice Kay Mauldin of Ennis, formerly of Italy, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024. She was born October 19,1946, to Howard and Eva Shinpaugh Lawson. She had two children whom she loved dearly.
She worked at the local bank in Italy for many years before retiring from the Ellis County Tax Office. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and co-workers. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and family functions. She was a social butterfly, caring, compassionate, who never met a stranger.
Janice is survived by her son Matt Mauldin and wife, Jennifer, of Ennis; grandchildren Tanner Mauldin of Ennis and Hiley Mauldin of Italy; great grandchild Scarlett Najera; dearest cousin Tonie Allard and husband, Dan, of Farmersville; sister-in-law Diane Lawson of Arlington; siblings: Jackie Hill, Sharolyn Cooper, Gary Low and wife, Carol, and Rodney Lawson.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Eva Mauldin, father Howard Lawson, daughter Valerie Kay Mauldin, siblings Lynn Lawson and Larry Low.
