Janice Morrison

Janice Morrison (Petrucelli) died peacefully in her sleep on December 11, 2021. She bravely battled Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer since December 2017.

Janice grew up in Maplewood, NJ.  She married then moved to Roselle Park living there for 35 years.  Janice graduated Newark State College earning a B.A. degree in Elementary Education and an M.A.in Liberal Arts.  She went into the business world learning computer programs in accounts payables and receivables.  She worked at Verrex for many years retiring in 2015.

Janice’s hobbies were reading, traveling, stage shows, concerts and gardening. Janice’s kids were cats.  She rescued cats one at a time. She had 17 cats in her colonial home.  Her nickname was “The Cat Lady”.

She was predeceased by her parents Anthony Petrucelli and Rosina Russo.  She is survived by her brother Vincent Petrucelli and his wife Mary; her sister Elsa Petrucelli and her two cats Goldie and Rosie.

A celebration of Janice’s life will be held in the Spring of 2022 where Janice will join her mom in a niche at Ocean County Memorial Park.
