Jan had a wonderful sense of humor. Years ago I called to ask Joe if he could take my day as an auxiliary firefighter since we were both members of the Brown Deer Fire Department. When Jan answered the phone I asked to speak to the "King of the house". Her reply - "Not now, he's on the throne".

Mrs. Muehlbach was a wonderful friend to my mother, Marianne. She was so friendly and I enjoyed talking with her. Because of her, I started wearing more purple. My sympathy and prayers to her family.
