Not sure what to say?

I still remember how nice you people were to me as a newcomer in the Bonnet and Boot Club.

Dear Jim and family,

Our sympathy and warmest thoughts are with you now. We have so many happy memories as your neighbors in East Granby. May your warm memories give you comfort.

Jim & the rest of the Poor family:
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
We first met Jan at Lime Rock up on the hill in the old barn one night back in 1971. She was the source of many laughs and always had a calming effect on the hectic process of registration. she had a way of calming even the most angry drivers who had forgotten their paperwork at home.

She always had a kind word and a smile for all.
May the memories of all the good times remain...

Jim,
My thoughts are with you and your family. I will miss seeing Jan at the track. She was a wonderful person.

I have known Mrs. Poor since 1968, when my family moved from Salt Lake City to East Granby. I grew up 3 houses from the Poor's, and Randy was and is one of my oldest and best friends, 44 years and counting (gulp).

As a boy, I was always fascinated that a woman could be so steeped in racing culture, as well as having been an accomplished amateur racer. I guess she and others showed Danica Patrick the way:-)

I have fond memories of Mrs. Poor - her raspy laugh, ready smile,...

Enjoyed many hours on the golf course and at Simsbury Lanes with Jan. Rest in peace Jan Poor.

Jim & Family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Jan was always smiling and upbeat, we'll miss seeing her buzz thru the neighborhood in her little red car. Hopefully, your happy memories will see you through this time of sorrow. Al & Karen Brown

Jan was always such a welcome presence - after a long night of driving to reach an event with tired bodies and frayed nerves, when one of us said "Hey, there's Jan!" everything felt better. Any problems with paperwork or registration were never a reason to feel frazzled - "Jan's here, she'll take care of it" She so clearly enjoyed herself it was infectious - and she cared about everyone there. My first time with the team at Watkins Glen I was watching practice on the bleacher seating on the...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
