Not sure what to say?

I was so sad to hear this news. Dan, you have my deepest sympathies. You have written a wonderful tribute to your mother. She was a strong and resilient woman, passionate about her causes and her son. I know that you will miss her; but, your memories will be her legacy and will remain to support you through the rest of your life.

We are so sorry to hear of Jan's death. The obituary does a wonderful job of summarizing the impressive things she accomplished (the only mother in our group who became a lawyer) and her many interests (even if they did include cheering for State). Jan was an important part of our child-rearing memories and a good mother. We will miss her.
