Janice Tinker of Topeka passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Midland Hospice. Janice was born August 16, 1941 in Topeka the daughter of Ike and Leona Dilley. She worked at J.C. Penny as a manager before her retirement. She was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church for over 56 years. Janice was a member of the United Methodist Women for many years at her church. She helped with the ham and bean dinner that her church holds every year. Mrs. Tinker enjoyed bowling and golf. Janice was married to Richard Tinker on October 21, 1960 at Oakland United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband Richard of Topeka; daughter Robin Keithly of Topeka, four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, son James; and daughter, Debra Pack.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Davidson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 pm prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Oakland United Methodist Church or to Midland Hospice.

So sorry to hear of Janice's passing. I got to know her while working at OUMC. She was always so nice & fun to be around. Godspeed to Janice & prayers for her family. She will be greatly missed by many.

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

Jan will be missed. She was everyone's work mom at JCP.

I am sorry to hear of Janice passing. I bowled with her on Tuesday night leagues for many years. She was an awesome lady to be around.

Robin, so sorry to hear about you and your family's loss . Janice was a lovely lady and always stopped in to Mandi's store to talk with her. Keeping you in our prayers today.
